200x70x2400 Shaft Mounted Forks – Single Fork Weight: 322 kg

These forks are produced using traditional sand casting. The cast billets undergo two years of natural aging in open air to completely eliminate casting stresses. The inner bore of the shaft sleeve is entirely hand-scraped and individually matched to the forklift's mounting shaft, achieving over 95% contact area. Relying on the natural ductility of the metal, an interference fit is formed without the need for any locking nuts or wedges. The fork face retains the as-cast skin without any machining, utilizing the natural shrinkage pattern of the casting to provide anti-slip properties. The fork tip has a smooth radius transition, hand-ground by an experienced craftsman using only visual judgment and feel to ensure smooth entry. Before leaving the factory, each fork is struck with a drop hammer to listen to the sound, using the decay of the reverberation to judge internal density.

 

 

A static load test at 1.35 times the rated capacity is then performed, and the permanent deformation is directly chiseled into the fork leg using a steel stamp. The surface is only coated with hot tung oil for rust protection, preserving the natural metal finish. These forks are compatible with Class 4A shaft-mounted systems. Installation is done by hammering the fork onto the mounting shaft with a heavy sledgehammer, while removal is aided by a screw jack. With a single fork weight of 322 kg, the forged steel lifting lugs on both sides of the sleeve require the use of an overhead crane for replacement.
