The structural design of Stainless Steel Wall Shelf Brackets adopts the triangular support principle. The back plate and the cantilever are integrated through continuous welding. The weld seams are pickled and passivated to eliminate the chromium-poor layer in the heat-affected zone and ensure that the corrosion resistance of the weld seam area is consistent with that of the base material. According to the requirements for weld strength of the AWS D1.6 Stainless Steel Structural Welding Specification, when the weld height is not less than the thickness of the plate, the tensile strength of the welded joint can reach more than 95% of the nominal value of the base material, which is about 500 MPa for 304 stainless steel. This prevents the weld from becoming a weak link when the bracket is subjected to eccentric loads. At the same time, the lower edge of the cantilever is equipped with a reinforced flange. The height of the flange is usually eight to ten millimeters. According to the calculation of cold-formed components in EN 1993-1-4 stainless steel structural design specifications, this flange can increase the bending section modulus of the cantilever by about 40%, significantly improving the stiffness and load-bearing margin of the bracket with the same amount of material.

 

 

The bracket also provides a variety of installation methods to adapt to different wall conditions. In addition to traditional expansion bolt fixation, a hidden hanging buckle system is also optional. Users only need to pre-install the hanging plate on the wall, and then hang the bracket to complete the fixation. The hanging buckle is equipped with an anti-detachment spring piece to ensure that the bracket will not fall off from the hanging plate in the event of an accidental collision. According to the ASTM E488 test method for the pull-out bearing capacity of anchors, when M8 expansion bolts are used to fix the anchor to a standard concrete wall, the measured pull-out bearing capacity of a single set of brackets can reach 5,000 Newtons. However, when the hook system is used, the pull-out bearing capacity is still not less than 4,000 Newtons, which is about 80% of the former, which is enough to meet the load requirements of most household shelves. The upper surface of the cantilever of the bracket is equipped with anti-skid grooves, which are about two millimeters wide and 0.5 millimeters deep. According to the ASTM D1894 method of measuring the friction coefficient between plastic and metal, this anti-skid design can increase the static friction coefficient between the wooden board placed on the bracket and the bracket from 0.3 to 0.6, effectively preventing the shelf from sliding and dislocating under the action of horizontal force. It is especially suitable for scenes such as kitchen spice racks and bathroom shelves that need to resist accidental pushing.
