After one thousand hours of continuous operation in an artificial seawater circulation system, the microbial film coverage area on the bolt surface was only 5.2%, while the coverage area of ​​austenitic stainless steel bolts without copper added reached 37%. The trace copper ions precipitated from brass have a natural inhibitory effect on algae and bacteria, significantly reducing the risk of biofouling around fasteners on ocean platforms. The Charpy impact test measured the absorbed energy of the bolt at minus 20 degrees Celsius to be 42 joules, which is 50% higher than the 28 joules of ordinary bronze bolts, indicating that its low-temperature resistance to brittle fracture is sufficient to cope with the impact load during offshore wind power foundation installation in cold areas. In addition, the Rockwell hardness value measured according to the ISO 6508 standard is HRB 80. After five hundred simulated disassembly and assembly cycles, the thread pitch diameter wear is only 0.006 mm, providing a high reusability fastening solution for valves and pump sets that require regular maintenance.
