80x40x2000 ITA/FEM Forks

The 80x40x2000 ITA/FEM fork weighs 57 kg per unit and is two meters long. It is the most challenging slenderness ratio specification among the 80×40 mm cross-section. Two-meter-long forks are almost no longer used for standard pallets, but are used to turn over and transfer aerospace composite female molds, five-meter wind turbine blade webs, and high-speed train underframe beams. In manufacturing, segmented temperature-controlled rolling and creep straightening are used, and residual bending is eliminated by repeated loading on a several-meter-long track platform to ensure that the parallelism error of the two forks under a length of two meters does not exceed two millimeters.

 

 

Each 57kg steel distribution focuses on compressing the six centimeter area of ​​the fork tip. On the contrary, a trapezoidal reinforcement platform is expanded behind the hook, which increases the root section modulus by 30% to prevent the fork tip from sagging and scraping the ground. Since the ultra-long specification cannot be used with ordinary hanging boards, the upper and lower hooks of this model are designed according to the widened version of FEM Level 4, with narrow gaps on both sides. When used with a special fork, the amount of lateral swing is almost zero. The surface is coated with a nylon-based anti-stone impact coating to specifically resist the impact of flying sand and rocks during long-distance transportation. Each pair of cargo forks is calibrated for self-weight deflection before leaving the factory. When the fork tip is fully extended, the natural sinking amount is engraved on the fork legs to remind the operator that it is strictly prohibited to use it to pick up goods if the fork sinks more than two centimeters. The unit weight of 57 kg means that replacement must use a hanging rail or a balanced power arm.
