In terms of installation torque control, the fluctuation of the friction coefficient has a significant impact on the accuracy of the preload force. The contact state between the supporting surface under the pan head and the column surface determines the torque conversion efficiency. According to the ISO 16047 fastener friction coefficient test method, for zinc-aluminum coated screws and galvanized posts, the typical value of the total friction coefficient is in the range of 0.15 to 0.22. When the tightening torque is set to 4.5 Nm, the axial pretightening force calculated based on the friction coefficient fluctuates between 3.5,000 N and 4.5,000 N, with a deviation of up to plus or minus 13%. If the torque-rotation angle method is used instead of simple torque control, when the rotation angle is set to 180 degrees, the preload force deviation can be reduced to less than 5%. This is due to the low sensitivity of angle control to friction factors. According to the cyclic load test of DIN EN 1935, the residual pretightening force of screws installed using this method under a transverse vibration frequency of 15 Hz still maintains more than 90% of the initial value after 100,000 vibrations.
