Metal Gutter Hangers

Metal gutter hangers are integrally stamped from high-strength cold-rolled steel plates. Their material yield strength reaches 320 MPa, which is about two and three times that of ordinary hot-rolled hangers. They are not prone to permanent bending when subjected to direct impact from hail or lateral thrust from snow on the roof. The drop weight impact test conducted in accordance with the ASTM E695 standard showed that a one kilogram steel ball dropped freely from a height of two meters and hit the middle of the hook. The test piece only showed a local dent of 0.2 millimeters, while the hook that had not been strengthened had a bending deformation of more than 2.5 millimeters in the same test, and its impact resistance increased by more than ten times. At the same time, the polyester powder coating covering the surface of the hook reached the highest zero level in the cross-hatch adhesion test. After fifteen alternating hot and cold cycles from minus 20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, the coating did not peel or crack, ensuring the protective effect during the alternating process of freezing and melting of the eaves in the cold northern regions.

 

 

This metal gutter hook also provides reliable data support for the problem of creep relaxation under long-term suspension. After being placed in a constant temperature and humidity environment with a continuous static load of 35 kilograms for two thousand hours, the bending deflection increment of the hook was only 0.07 millimeters, while the deflection increment of an ordinary hook under the same conditions was 0.31 millimeters, which means that its creep resistance is more than four times higher, effectively avoiding poor drainage in the gutter caused by the slow sinking of the hook. Actual installation efficiency statistics come from two comparison construction sites. For hooks designed with pre-punched positioning holes, each worker can complete the installation of an average of forty hooks per hour, which is about 43% higher than the 28 traditional hooks that require on-site measurement and drilling. At the same time, the elevation consistency qualification rate after installation has increased from 89% to 97.5%. A sample review consisting of three hundred installed hooks showed that after a full rainy season of frequent drainage, there were no visible gaps or displacements at the engagement points between all hooks and gutters, proving that their long-term stable anchoring capabilities fully meet the roof drainage needs of residential and light commercial buildings.
