Flat piano hinge is a metal hinge that is continuously distributed along the entire length and has a very distinctive appearance. The thickness accuracy of a single blade can reach ±0.1 mm, ensuring that the entire hinge surface is smooth and uneventful. At the same time, the surface of the blade has been treated with 240 mesh drawing, and the texture is uniform and the roughness Ra value is not greater than 0.8 microns, showing a delicate matte metal texture.
Another appearance feature is that the flatness of the entire hinge does not exceed 0.3 mm per meter, that is, the warpage of a 2-meter-long hinge is less than 0.6 mm, and the gap between the door leaf and the frame is even after installation. In addition, the edge of the blade is chamfered to 0.5 mm, eliminating sharp burrs and making it visually rounded and smooth. The countersunk angle of the opening is precisely controlled at 90 degrees, and the screws can be completely flush with the surface after installation.

★ Stage Overhead Access Door
Theatrical stages have lighting and machinery above the ceiling. Maintenance workers access these areas through an overhead door. The door hinge must support the worker's weight. A high-quality stainless steel flat piano hinge has a static load capacity of at least 350 kg per meter. For example, a hinge that is 38 mm wide and 1 meter long can safely support four adults standing together. Four adults weigh about 280 kg. An oven door hinge must resist high temperatures without bending. A 304 stainless steel flat piano hinge can work at 250°C for 1,000 hours. Its opening and closing torque changes by only 5% after this test. The hinge still moves smoothly. Degaussing ships and submarines have very sensitive magnetic fields. Any magnetic part can interfere with navigation equipment. A 304 stainless steel flat piano hinge is specially annealed to reduce magnetism. Its relative magnetic permeability (μr) is less than or equal to 1.05 in actual measurements. A standard carbon steel hinge has a μr greater than 100. The low magnetism of the stainless steel hinge allows the ship's magnetometer to work correctly. The hinge also has a thickness of 1.5 mm. This thickness provides good sound insulation for the cabin door.
