Weldable Piano Hinge

Weldable piano hinge is made of high-quality carbon steel, with a typical tensile strength of more than 400 MPa, ensuring that it is not easily deformed or broken during welding and load-bearing. At the same time, the dimensional tolerance of the hinge in the length direction can be controlled within ±0.3 mm to ensure uniform gaps when splicing multiple sections or aligning with the door frame. This kind of hinge is specially designed for metal door panels, cabinets or industrial equipment that require direct welding installation, eliminating the need for drilling and screw fixing processes. It is especially suitable for high-frequency opening and closing or heavy-load environments. Carbon steel has good weldability, and with appropriate welding techniques, joint strength close to that of the base material can be obtained.

 

 

After welding, the hardness change near the weld is small. According to the standard welding process evaluation, the tensile strength of the heat-affected zone can still reach more than 90% of the base metal. In addition, the surface of the hinge can be galvanized or black oxidized. The thickness of the galvanized layer is not less than 8 microns. According to GB/T 9799, it can withstand 72 hours without red rust in the neutral salt spray test. This means that even if part of the coating is burned during welding, corrosion can still be effectively delayed as long as the anti-rust paint is reapplied in time.
